A fully-funded Ph.D. position is available at the School of Computer Science, University of Auckland. The University of Auckland is the highest-ranked University in New Zealand (QS top 100).

We are looking for a highly-motivated and hard-working student with a solid background in machine learning, data mining and deep learning to work on a three-year research project in spatio-temporal data mining and graph representation learning. In particular, we aim to develop new graph representation learning approach for modeling the spatio-temporal information on graph data. Our research will enable various applications in urban computing including traffic modeling, location recommendation, trajectory mining.


Equivalent of a New Zealand 1st class Honours degree or a MSc degree (both with a significant research component) in Computer Science or related field. The candidate should have solid programming skills and be familiar with machine learning and deep learning techniques. Overseas applicants should meet the English requirement of UoA. Tuition fee: Waived
Stipend: NZD $35,000 per annum for 3 years.
